Nuisance trees

At the start of the summer I reported that the trees overhanging my back garden needing cutting back - reported this on several occasions but to no avail and here we are almost Autumn and still not done. The outcome of each phone call is "we will get back to you" Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
